Our brand new CD ‘Caitlín & Ciarán‘ is being released this month. Exciting times!

Here’s what was said about our recent gig in New York:
“Ciarán has that Donegal fiddlers’ knack of being technically exact, fearless and free. Caitlín’s concertina is no less thrilling as she expands perceptions of the instrument. It was her feet that lifted us though in the showpiece ‘Belfast Hornpipe/Ms. McLeod’s’ with sublime synchronisation of her dancing shoes and Ciarán’s playful fiddle. The gasps were audible”

New York Irish Arts – March 2015

A little bit about the New CD:

It features Ciarán on fiddle and myself on concertina and dancing. It also features three friends who are amazing musicians – Seán Óg Graham on guitar, who plays with the band ‘Beoga’, Caoimhín Ó Fearghail on bouzouki (who played with me on my 2012 solo CD, ‘Caitlín’ and TG4 Young Musician of the Year), and Jack Talty on keys.

It has a range of new and old tunes, lots of unusual versions of tunes, three of my own compositions, three especially-choreographed dance pieces, some Donegal tunes, some Scottish tunes and lots more. It’s 59 minutes of lively music, made with a good heart.

We are delighted that Philip King & Nuala O’Connor will launch our CD on Tuesday April the 14th in Whelan’s, Dublin at 7:30pm.

Special guests on the night will include Mark Kelly on guitar and Caoimhín Ó Fearghaíl on bouzouki with more to be announced for this celebratory concert.

Admission on the night is FREE and all are welcome to what will be a music filled night
